Frequently Asked Questions

We want you to feel comfortable, confident, and ready to enjoy your first Reformer Pilates class. To help you get started, we’ve answered some of the most common questions we hear from new clients so you know exactly what to expect when you step into the studio.

Reformer Pilates is a movement practice that uses a specialized machine—the reformer—to combine resistance, support, and precision. The moving carriage, springs, and straps allow you to lengthen and strengthen your body in a way that is both challenging and safe, helping you build stability, mobility, and control.

Not at all. Our classes are designed to welcome all levels, from complete beginners to experienced movers. Your instructor will guide you through each exercise and offer modifications so you feel comfortable progressing at your own pace.

We recommend fitted, comfortable workout clothing that allows you to move freely—think leggings or shorts and a supportive top. For safety and hygiene, grip socks are required during class.

Just yourself and your grip socks. We provide all of the reformer equipment, props, and a clean, welcoming space. Water bottles are encouraged to keep you hydrated.

Our reformer classes are intentionally small, up to 10 clients. This ensures every participant receives personalized attention and guidance throughout the session.

Yes. The resistance of the springs can be adjusted to challenge your muscles in a controlled, effective way, helping you build strength and endurance while also improving posture and range of motion.

Our instructors are trained to provide modifications that meet your body where it is today. We recommend letting your instructor know about any injuries or concerns before class so they can ensure you feel safe and supported.

Consistency is key. Many clients notice changes in strength, posture, and energy after 1–2 classes per week. Over time, the practice supports a long-term, sustainable movement-based lifestyle.

We suggest arriving 5–10 minutes before your class begins. This gives you time to settle in, set up your reformer, and feel relaxed and ready to move.
